With the rapid development of petrochemical industry in China, more and more titanium materials are used in urea, acetaldehyde, acetic acid, polyester and other strong corrosion production conditions, thus solving many serious corrosion problems. However, Titanium-structured containers are not safe enough to operate at 200 or slightly higher temperatures and are not allowed to operate at higher temperatures. But the equipment made of titanium clad plates can work under more stringent conditions.
Explosive welding is the only practical method to combine titanium or zirconium with steel. Titanium clad plates are mainly used in two aspects: heat exchanger tube sheet and processing container sheet. Typically, the total thickness of tube sheet is 75-100 mm, and the thickness of cladding is 12-15 mm. The total thickness of processing container sheet is 19-25 mm, and the thickness of cladding is 2-3 mm. When titanium and zirconium are used, the allowable corrosion rate is often not the main factor. Economically, the thinner the coating, the better. Thickness of steel substrates is an important factor in design.
As a professional titanium clad plate manufacturer in China, Chalco clad is widely used in reactor, terephthalic acid plant related equipment, power plant chimney, heat exchanger tubesheet, seamless joint and reactor, chemical distillation tank, double hardness armor plate, thermostat and other aspects.
